Caereforge A stylised frontal view of an Etruscan tumulus tomb from Cerveteri: a wide rounded dome over a low banded drum, with a tall narrow doorway flanked by jambs and crowned by an overhanging architrave.
Caereforge
Mac native software — Made in Italy

Caereforge is an independent software publisher based in Italy. We make Mac native applications for people who run their own infrastructure, automate their own workflows, and care about the tools they live in every day.

The name comes from Caere, the ancient Etruscan city now known as Cerveteri, north of Rome. Its necropolis is a hillside of carved tumulus tombs, each one a small piece of architecture built to last. The mark above is one of them.

The name reads two ways. In Italian it carries the place and the history. In English it sounds like care · forge, a workshop where things are made with attention. We're happy with either reading.

The software we ship is local-first, free of telemetry by default, and built to respect the user's time, attention, and ownership of their own data. We'd rather make fewer things and make them carefully.
